Annual Stamp Out Hunger Coming Up May 10th

The National Association of Letter Carriers prepares for their 22nd Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
May 7, 2014 - This Saturday, letter carriers will be doing more than just delivering your mail.
May 10th marks the 22nd year for the National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp out Hunger Food Drive. It’s a partnership between the postal service letter carriers and the Second Harvest Food Bank. Your mail carrier is asking you to leave a bag of non-perishable food by your mailbox, letter carriers and food bank volunteers will stop by to pick up the bags.
This campaign has been very successful through the years, and with this season of cold winter weather donations are desperately needed to fill the shelves and help local families.
You can also choose to leave a monetary donation. Simply leave a check payable to the Second Harvest Food Bank in an envelope for the cause in your mailbox. No stamp required.
