August 26, 2014 - A Meadville man is facing a long prison sentence after pleading guilty to a $1 million arson fire.

Brandon Irwin, 21, plead guilty in Crawford County court to setting fire to the Northgate Apartment complex back in March. It's located at the intersection of Route 77 and Leslie Road.

Irwin admitted he lit some cardboard on fire inside the apartment complex and told Judge Mark Stevens he understood he put other people in danger by doing so. The defendant faces up to 20 years in prison and $25,000 in fines when sentenced in October.
