Assaults In Mall Parking Lot

Millcreek Police have a warning for women after a series of assaults in the Millcreek Mall parking lot.
Millcreek Police have a warning for women after a series of assaults in the Millcreek Mall parking lot. There have been four police reports filed in the last month involving an unidentified suspect assaulting women on mall property. These incidents have happened at various times of the day and to women of various ages.

According to investigators the man approaches women on mall property and strikes up a conversation, sometimes asking for the time of day, before trying to grab them. In all the reported incidents the suspect has run away and no one has been injured.

Police describe the suspect as a white man in his twenties with glasses and blonde or dirty blonde short hair. He is believed to be about five foot six with a medium build.

According to police a witness saw the suspect in a four door compact passenger car. Millcreek police Lieutenant Scott Sebulak, gave this advice for women who are on mall property "As always be aware of your surroundings, pay attention to what's going on around you. Be suspicious of things going on around you if you can. If something does happen to you, try and give us a call as soon as possible and if you can snap a picture with your cell phone."

A Millcreek Mall spokesperson says that they are working with Millcreek Police in the investigation. In the meantime they're stepping up their patrols and remaining extra vigilant.
