At least 4,000 without Power in Erie

Bill Jerin, Penelec spokesperson, says they’re unaware of what caused the outage and say there's no estimate time of restoration at this point.
June 21, 2014 - The longest day of the year wasn't enough to keep thousands of people in Erie out of the dark tonight.

According to First Energy's power outage map, there were outages near East Gore and Old French Roads, East 12th and Reed Streets, and Division Street plus many other locations.

Bill Jerin, Penelec spokesperson, says they’re unaware of what caused the outage and say there's no estimate time of restoration at this point.

However, crews are en-route to try and get power back on for the four thousand customers as soon as possible.

Even the lights went out at Jerry Uht Park causing a 22 minute delay as the Seawolves were playing the Richmond Flying Squirrels.
