JULY 16, 2014-- Erie City Council has passed a resolution to allow retired City Clerk, James Klemm to become a consultant for the council. Klemm recently retired from the City Clerk position after more than 40 years of service. He will now serve as an archivist for the city for the next two years with a retainer fee of 1,000 dollars a month. Council members say his experience in the position and history with the city will serve as an aid while the new clerk transitions. The council passed the resolution with a vote of 4 to 3.
