Community Reacts to Jamestown, NY Homicide

As the death of 16 month old Nayla Hodnett has been ruled a homicide, Jamestown police continue the investigation, and community members react to the news.
April 18, 2014 - Jamestown police are trying to piece together what led to the death of a 16 month old baby, with her death being ruled a homicide.

Nayla Hodnett was brought into WCA Hospital in Jamestown on Wednesday night, but she was then transferred to a Buffalo hospital, however, she died Thursday from what police describe as injuries that were caused by blunt force trauma.

Following an autopsy performed yesterday, Hodnett's death has been ruled a homicide.

Hodnett's mother and the mother's boyfriend are being called "persons of interest" by police and we're told the mother is being cooperative with the investigation.

Community members we spoke with say this case is truly saddening.
