In light of several complaints of over grown grass in area ball parks we are getting you answers. The two primary spots people complained about were at Jefferson Elementary School and Berst Avenue.

We spoke to the Erie City School District person who is responsible for grounds work and they said the facilities department works in a rotation to cut the more than 20 ball fields.

Weather plays a major factor in completing work, and when it rains, the grass cannot be cut. District officials stress that it is not a funding issue. They say they always want to be a good neighbor, so if there is ever a concern, call them directly.
