Conneaut Lake Park Moves Forward with Bankruptcy

The trustees of the park voted to hire a bankruptcy attorney to pursue filing for bankruptcy protection from its creditors.
September 2, 2014 - Conneaut Lake Park is moving to protect itself from being sold at sheriff sale. This morning, the trustees of the park voted to hire a bankruptcy attorney to pursue filing for bankruptcy protection from it's creditors.

The park owes more than $900,0000 in back property taxes and interest. Each of the municipalities that are owed those taxes has favored selling the park rather than accepting the park's plan for repayment.

However, none of the municipalities has actually acted on putting the park up for sale. Never the less, park trustees have opted not to wait and are moving forward with filing for bankruptcy.
