Council Approves Resolution to Apply for Grant Money

The money would come from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program.
February 5, 2014 - City Council approved the application process for the city to apply for $26 million in grant money.

The money would come from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program.

It’s a part of the first round of funding for 2014.

The grant would allocate $12 million Harbor Place and the construction of a hotel, long term hotel resident and private residences.

Another $12 million will be for construction improvements to Jerry Uht Park and Erie Insurance Arena.

Another $1.5 million will be for Liberty Park and $650,000 would go towards Perry Square.

Council approved the Mayor's resolution for the city to apply for the grants.
