Millcreek Police said that this time of year there are more accidents because of the increase of drivers on the road.

Not to mention, an increase in impaired and distracted driving.

If you plan on heading out this weekend, Millcreek Police offered a couple of tips to make sure you're safe.

Police said to keep your cell phone out of reach to avoid distractions. Also stay away from drugs and alcohol, and have a sober driver.

Police said there are more officers out on the road this weekend to be on the lookout for drivers who are aggressive, under the influence, and distracted.
