Crawford County Courthouse Construction Causing Controversy

The proposed $30 million project is leaving some concerned about the future of the historic Tarr Mansion.
July 21, 2014 - The Crawford County Courthouse could soon be renovated and expanded, but one part of those proposed changes is causing a bit of controversy.

The proposed $30 million, two-building renovation project could mean the tearing down of the historic Tarr Mansion.

Some preservation groups have sent in letters asking that the building not be torn down.

However, the chair of the Crawford County commissioners told us no decision is set in stone, and that the county is willing to work with all parties involved.

There will two public meetings coming up in August to discuss the construction.
