In an effort to bridge a multi million dollar budget gap, a local university is looking to eliminate some majors.

Edinboro University council of trustees propose cutting art history, women's studies and philosophy majors.

The three majors have the lowest enrollment on campus.

Officials say students in the majors would be allowed to finish out their degrees.

The university is currently combating a five point five million dollar budget deficit and declining enrollment.

The council will vote on the cuts at a meeting tomorrow morning at 9 a.m.
