Director at Erie Homes for Children and Adults, Inc. (EHCA) for
more than 25 years.

Under his leadership, the agency has grown from offering residential care at its East 27th Street facility and one group home to serving 92 residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities in 17 group residences in Erie and Crawford counties.

He also supervised the development of several community-based programs that provide meaningful opportunities and supportive services for adults with disabilities, families caring for loved ones at home, and mothers at risk of having babies born with disabilities.

Today, the agency serves nearly 400 people each day in four
Pennsylvania counties and employs a staff of more than 500.

“It has been an honor and a privilege to lead this agency for nearly 26 years,”

Carpenedo said. “The agency is poised for many additional accomplishments in the future.

I am grateful to our Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, supporters, families, and of course the extraordinary individuals we serve for making my tenure here so rewarding and enjoyable.”
