Emergency Officials Recommend Natural Disaster Plans

In light of tornadoes claiming the lives of many in the southern and central states, local emergency officials are stressing the importance of creating family plans and kits in case disaster strikes.
April 29, 2014 - After tornados ripped through parts of the US yesterday, wreaking havoc and claiming many lives, the Red Cross is collecting donations and stressing how important it is be prepared for a natural disaster.

The biggest thing both emergency officials and Red Cross officials stress is making a plan and having an emergency kit.

The kit should have three days worth of food, an AM/FM radio, extra batteries, and tools.

In the plan, list where you and your family will meet if a disaster happens, and figure out how you'll communicate if all power is lost.

Red Cross officials said practicing the plan is as important as making one.
