Emergency Traffic System Enters First Phase

Emergency vehicle travels are about to become more efficient.
The county's Emergency Traffic System upgrade is beginning its first phase, with the help of a considerate donation from Millcreek Community Hospital.

The hospital's $30,000 check was presented to Erie County today, bringing the total amount raised for the Emergency Vehicle Traffic Preemption System to $231,000.

Within months, the new system will be installed at 57 intersections leading into the city. From there, it will expand across the county.
