A former Erie teacher learns his fate in court for creating and possessing child pornography.

David Montgomery was sentenced to 32 years behind bars on felony charges.

Montgomery was emotional in court today, crying and apologizing to those he hurt.

He told the court "I can only hope to have an opportunity in the future to make up for my actions. To anyone else I have victimized, I am sorry."

Montgomery admitted he had a problem but was always too afraid to get help.

The 44-year-old entered a plea to the making and possessing child pornography charges.

As part of the plea deal, he confessed to making the child pornography with an out of state child over the course of five years and taking nude pictures of a local boy.

The victims were not present in court and were not students of Montgomery.

One of the victim's mother's told Montgomery "I don't wish you well. Instead, I wish you live a long life in prison."

Montgomery is ordered to register as a sex offender, take polygraph tests, and cannot associate with children.

And this isn't the end of Montgomery's legal battles.

Montgomery is waiting trial in May on related charges for a boy from out of town who was sexually assaulted for several years.
