Gannon Creates Scholarship Program for Erie School District Students

Erie School District students who qualify now have a chance to attend Gannon University on scholarship through the Archbishop Gannon Scholars Program.
January 23, 2014 - Erie School District students who qualify now have a chance to attend Gannon University on scholarship through the Archbishop Gannon Scholars Program.

The program is intended for students in the Erie District who have at least a 3.0 GPA, an 850 SAT score, full PELL (Expected Family Contribution = 0) and PHEA grants and must complete their FAFSA by May 1st of the year before they enroll at Gannon.

The program will help families and students who don't have the financial ability for a higher education.

Officials say this program follows the mission of Gannon University, founded by Archbishop Gannon who wanted to do something to help educate the “poor boys in Erie.”
