City Council Holds Study Session

A study session was held on bayfront construction.
A study session at City Council tonight, as they prepare for next Wednesday’s public hearing.

The topic on the table: a new hotel and parking garage at the bayfront, on Convention Center property.

The hotel is currently planned to be a 5-story, L shaped structure adjacent to the Convention Center.

This session gave City Council members, the Port Authority and architects a chance to sit down and discuss the plans, as well as answer any questions they may have.

"This site is so important for our bayfront cause there's been so much public input on the design, so much public input on the public access that it is very important to get input from council, very important to ask them questions,” said Dave Brennan, vice-president of Erie City Council.

Next Wednesday’s meeting is open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
