Gulf Road Fire in North East Total Loss

A North East home is destroyed after fire ripped through the structure early Thursday morning.
June 5, 2014- Fire crews from East County and Western New York rushed into action when a fire broke out in a North East Township home. That fire was reported around 2:30a.m. at 8231 Gulf Road near the intersection of Archer road.
When crews arrived, they found the house completely engulfed in flames, and live power lines, which caused some problems for fire crews. Penelec quickly responded and cut the power so firefighters could fight the flames from all sides. The fire was under control in about thirty minutes. The tenant of the home was out of town camping and returned home to see the damage this morning. He immediately sat down with the Fire Marshall to go over the details of the fire. The Fire Marshall was on scene all morning investigating the cause of the fire. The home is a total loss.
