New unemployment numbers show job growth nationally.

But are there opportunities available locally?

Job seekers and recent grads you may be in luck.

Jobs are available, but some people are left wondering about the quality of work.

Rasheen Boga has been unemployed for nearly one year and the challenges and stress of finding a job have plagued him.

It's the biggest jump in employment in two years and earlier this afternoon Boga landed a job interview in food service.

Officials at Career Link, a free service that helps people find jobs in Erie, say the outlook for applicants is bright.

Employment is available in healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing and transportation.

And 11 new jobs have been added over the past two days.

But some applicants are left wondering if the work is consistent and pays a reasonable.

Career link site administrator Rick Cornwell says Erie is on the right track and as the employment outlook increases so does the quality of work.

Career link is hosting a job fair on May 15th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Zem Zem Shrine Club on West 38th Street
