Hotels Across Erie Booked for Roar on the Shore

It's a full house for many lodging locations across Erie county, including the Inn at Presque Isle and three dorms at Gannon University.
July 17, 2014 - With an expected 125,000 people in Erie, hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts, campgrounds and even non-traditional rooms like dormitories are booked.

It's a full house for many lodging locations across Erie county, including the Inn at Presque Isle and three dorms at Gannon University.

Officials from the Inn at Presque Isle said by the third of January, they were sold out of their 58 rooms for this weekend.

And yesterday alone, from 8AM until 3PM, they had 53 additional calls for a room.

They had to turn them away because they were completely booked.

But in the heart of downtown, Gannon University has added on to its already successful lodging opportunity they started last year.

They have fifty more people taking advantage of the rooms, including the close proximity to the main events in downtown.

They've also added a building with additional rooms for the riders.
