Jamestown Police searching for Shooting Suspect

Victim taken to UPMC Hamot after being shot twice

September 3, 2014- Police in Jamestown, New York are looking into a shooting that sent one man to the hospital.

The shooting happened around 7:20P.M. in the evening behind Appleyard Terrace, located in the 600 block of East 2nd Street.
According to a press release from police, four shots were fired at a man as he was walking in an open area near the housing units.
The victim was hit by two of those bullets, and rushed to UPMC Hamot for treatment, and rushed into surgery.

Police recovered a pistol near the scene of the shooting, and are continuing to look for the suspect.
