Millcreek Supervisors Refuse to Keep J.O.Y. Center Open

July 15, 2014 - Millcreek senior citizens continued to try to save the Millcreek J.O.Y. Center this morning, but supervisors were stern, saying it will not happen.

It has been a hot button issue at the township's meetings recently. MECA's contract has been terminated and the J.O.Y. Center's doors will close.

Supervisor Rick Figaski told the crowd that supervisors have made their decision unanimously. He says they will not listen to additional public comment about keeping the center open. The supervisors add that they are looking into similar options for seniors.
