Nathan Howard Scheduled to be Formally Arraigned

Allegedly smuggled heroin into the Erie County Prison
August 12, 2014- An inmate accused of smuggling heroin into the Erie County Prison and causing one inmate to overdose and die is scheduled to be formally arraigned for the crime today.

Prosecutors say Nathan Howard gave heroin laced with fentanyl to three other inmates back in May, causing all three inmates to overdosed.
One of the inmantes, Steven Burkhart died from the drug mix.

Howard's formal arraignment is scheduled for 9a.m. in front of Judge Shad Connelly.
