New Life Coming to Part of Former Skinner Engine Building

Erie Airsoft signed a contract with Logistcs Plus to set up a course in the first bay of the Skinner Engine Building.
May 28, 2014 - If you're a fan of airsoft and paintball, you'll have a new place to play soon.

Erie Airsoft signed a contract with Logistcs Plus to set up a course in the first bay of the Skinner Engine Building.

Logistics Plus purchased the building less than a year ago.

Jim Berlin, CEO of Logistics Plus, says converting this space is part of the company’s history of creating “cool and unusual things to brighten and liven up the downtown neighborhood.”

The building has space for an indoor and outdoor course that will be renovated to create a massive playing field.

Chris Gerhart of Erie Airsoft says there are about 100 people who show up to play on some weekends.

He's expecting bigger turnouts once the new facility is complete.
