An investigation is underway tonight to determine what sparked a fire that destroyed a Northwestern School bus.
Northwestern School District officials announced a two hour delay for students on Monday (3/3/14) because of a transportation problem.

Several buses were damaged by fire Saturday night and that caused the delay.

The 9-1-1 call reported smoke pouring from the Northwestern School Bus garage just after 6:30 tonight.

When the first trucks from albion fire department pulled up to the bus garage, they knew they had their work cut out.

The bus garage sustained smoke and heat damage.
Some light smoke was reported in the nearby administration building
