PennDot crews are beginning patch work along a large stretch of 12th street, in the city, beginning at Pittsburgh Avenue. PennDot will be patching holes in the eastbound and westbound lanes between Pittsburgh and Seneca avenues along west and east 12th. You’ll see that is a rather long stretch of road, so you may or may not coming in contact with construction crews, but be alert for detour signs, flaggers, and be sure to follow the speed limit signs in work zone areas to avoid increased fines. There are other road work crews patching and paving around the county starting this week. Patch work is slated to begin on Route 6 in LeBoeuf Township all the way into Warren County. Cracks also will be sealed on Route 99 in McKean Township, northbound from the McKean Township line to Peach Street, and southbound from Zimmerly road to Peach. Phillipsville road in Venango Township will be paved between Lake Pleasant and Wildman roads. Ditch work is also scheduled along Lake Pleasant road in Millcreek Township, from Interstate 90 to Pine Avenue; and on Arbuckle road in Amity Township, from Route 8 to Lake Pleasant road.
