It was a beautiful night to be out celebrating the 4th of July, and for most people the fireworks topped off the night.

That's what most people at the Perry 200 Celebration were the most excited about, bringing back the fireworks.

This is the first year for the Perry 200 Commemoration, and there was definitely reason to celebrate.

The goal was to educate the public, not only because of Oliver Hazard Perry, but what a rich history we have as a country, and a city.

Pastor Ron Johnson was taking it all in with his wife, he tells us a lot of people get caught up in parties or barbecues and forget what this day is really about, independence.

People gathered to listen to patriotic music, exactly what America is all about.

And the weather was impeccable to spend the day enjoying the company of your family... and remembering those who are overseas, who don't have that luxury.
