Perry 200 Fourth of July Events Schedule

Local communities have more than just fireworks planned for this year's July 4th festivities.
Local communities have more than just fireworks planned for this year's July 4th festivities. Here is the list of events:

Liberty Park/Burger King Amphitheater

5-10 p.m.: Picnic in the Park
5-7:30 p.m.: Children's activities including caricature artists, face-painting and coloring pages; also interactive experiences and reenactments.
6 p.m.: Dixie Doodlers band at Burger King Amphitheater
7:15 p.m.: Young People's Chorus of Erie at Burger King Amphitheater
8:30 p.m.: Gem City Concert Band at Burger King Amphitheater
9:45-10 p.m.: Bayfront fireworks provided by Zambelli Fireworks

Rain date is Sunday.


Millcreek Township

10 a.m.: 48th annual Millcreek Township Fourth of July Parade


Fairview Township

(At Automated Devices, Inc., 7050 West Ridge Road)

3-4:45 p.m.: Earthquakers will perform on the main stage.
4 p.m.: Fairview Legion cannon will be fired.
5 p.m.: Fairview Legion cannon will be fired.
5:05 p.m.: Magic show featuring Cliff Hopkins.
6 p.m.: Fairview Legion cannon will be fired.
6-7 p.m.: The Earthquakers will perform on the main stage.

Festivities include concession stands, vendors, a display by the Fairview Historical Society, a strolling magician, and a number of children's activities, including dino-jumps, a petting zoo, and face-painters.


Girard Township

1-8 p.m.: Swimming at Girard Community Pool.
7:30 p.m.: History Walk, conducted by Stephanie Wincik. Meet at the Old Fire Hall social room. Free coffee and doughnuts following the 1-mile walk.
8 p.m.: Concessions available. Musical performances by Loose Change and Ischabaha bands at Girard High School Stadium.
9:45-10 p.m.: Fireworks display provided by Zambelli Fireworks at Girard High School Stadium. Rain date for fireworks is Sunday.

The Battles Museum of Rural Life, and the White and Yellow Houses will be open for tours throughout the day.


Waterford

7 p.m.: Children activities at Gazebo Park.
7-10 p.m.: Musical performance by Retroactive band in Gazebo Park.
9:45 p.m.: Fireworks display, provided by Gibson Fireworks, at the Waterford Fairgrounds. Rain date for fireworks is Sunday.


North East
(At Mercyhurst-North East campus)

7 p.m.: Music by the Sam Hyman Band at the baseball field.
9:45-10 p.m.: Fireworks display provided by Tommy Kaleta.

All four countywide fireworks displays are scheduled to begin at 9:45 p.m. and are expected to last 15-20 minutes.
