Perry 200 Launch Season Coming to a Close

    August 21, 2012 - The 2012 launch season for the Perry 200 celebration is nearing an end, but so far officials say all events have been a success.

    Officials from the Perry 200 commemoration say the different events have engaged at least 125,000 citizens.

    September will wrap up the launch season with the WQLN Educational Celebration on September 8th and the Governor's Arts Awards on September 20th.

    The launch season will come to an end on September 23rd with the Community Sail Memorial Tribute when 60 contest winners can win a ride on the Niagara.

    Officials say they are pleased with the celebration so far.

Oliver the robot will be participating in the Perry 200 celebration during 2013 as part of the educational pilot program.
