A non-profit organization in charge of bringing therapy dogs to visit with area patients is looking for some new canine members.

Pet Partners works with organizations and hospitals on a regular basis, and recently started working with LECOM as well.

They're looking to increase their number of volunteer therapy dogs. The dogs and their owners work with the patients to help lift the spirits of the people they visit with. They are working in coordination with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients have a little extra love and care to reach their health goals.

In an upcoming event, you can meet the therapy dog teams and learn how your pet can become certified. The event will be held at the Red Cross Offices on Pittsburgh Avenue from noon – 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 10th. Please call ahead to reserve your space. 814-528-2182
