Rescue Horse Selected for Equine Comeback Challenge

Rosie, a 4-year-old paint, is healthy and has been chosen to participate in the Equine Comeback Challenge.
July 14th, 2014

You may recall back in October of last year we told you about 34 horses that had to be rescued from a home in Mercer County due to severe neglect.

Twenty-two of the horses were taken to the Anna Shelter Horse Rescue facility for rehabilitation.
Now after months of foster care, one of those horses, Rosie, a 4-year-old paint, is healthy and has been chosen to participate in the Equine Comeback Challenge.
The challenge teams 10 rescue horses with 10 trainers who will then spend 90 days working with the horses in preparation for the horse show.

The challenge aims to promote adoption of theses animals and after the show, Rosie and the other nine rescue horses will be available for adoption.

The challenge will be hosted by the Pennsylvania National Horse Show in Harrisburg this coming October.
