Roar on the Shore Parade Tonight

The first full day of the area's biggest biker rally is in full swing with the grand parade.
July 17, 2014 - Thousands of motorcyclists are gearing up and ready to roar for the 8th annual Roar on the Shore parade at Presque Isle Downs.

The parade will head downtown from the casino.

The bikers will travel south on Route 97 over Townhall Road to Old French Road, then down Glenwood Park Avenue and then to State Street.

Thousands of people are expected to line the streets.

Many people look forward to this portion of Roar, as it gives them a chance to see bikes of all shapes, sizes and colors.

This year, Danny the Count Koker of the hit reality show Counting Cars on the History Channel, is the grand marshall of the parade.

He has his own Count's Kustoms shop where they revamp and overhaul cars.

Following the parade, Koker and his band, Count's 77, will perform in Perry Square tonight.

The parade starts at Presque isle downs and casino promptly at 6 p.m.

In years past, the parade from start to finish is 45 minutes long.
