Robbery Suspect Nabbed in Ohio

The man police say robbed the First National Bank on upper Peach was pursued into Ohio on I -90
March 5, 2014 
A man is in custody following a midmorning bank robbery and a high speed chase into Ohio.

At approximately 10:10am a lone black male entered the First National Bank Branch at 6960 Peach and presented a note to the teller demanding money. A weapon was not shown but the subject indicated that he had a gun.

The man fled from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money in a white Chevrolet Traverse southbound on SR 19. The information was delivered to nearby patrol units who spotted the vehicle in the western part of Erie County, PA on SR 90.

The subject refused to stop and fled at speeds of over 100 MPH. He traveled into OH approximately 35 miles where he crashed the vehicle at the 207 Milepost on Interstate 90 just into Lake County, OH. The subject was taken into custody by Ohio and Pennsylvania authorities.
 
The suspect is a Bedford, OH man who is currently awaiting charges.
