Rollover Crash in Girard

One person taken to UPMC Hamot for treatment
May 22, 2014- One person was rushed to the hospital after a violent rollover crash this morning.

Emergency crews rushed into action around 3a.m. when that rollover crash with possible entrapment was reported.
According to Pennsylvania State Police in Girard, Neal Rudler, 28, was traveling East on Tannery Road when he lost control.

That caused his car to roll several times before coming to rest on its side.
The car traveled through a telephone pole, tearing down wires and causing rescue crews to wait until Penelec removed them.
The driver was ejected, and was taken to UPMC Hamot for treatment of extensive injuries.

Police are trying to determine the official cause of the crash, but say alcohol was involved.
