About thirty first responders toured the CSX Safety Train, including firefighters, police officers and emergency technicians.

The safety train has a classroom and specialized equipment to teach first responders how rail cars work and how to deal with an accident on the tracks.

CSX hazardous material specialists led the training today, specifically talking about crude oil incidents.

The safety train is traveling across the country to provide the training, not just in Erie, but in other cities over the company’s crude oil territory.
