Saint Vincent NICU Babies Helped by Donation

A local All Star game is making things a little easier for families with new bundles of joy
August 21, 2014

A local All Star game is making things a little easier for families with new bundles of joy in the Saint Vincent Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Saint Vincent hospital is one of 170 Children's Miracle Network hospitals in the country. Local umpires give back to the community by holding the Erie City-County All Star Game. Earlier this summer, $23,200 was raised, which is double last year's amount. The Children's Miracle Network at Saint Vincent Hospital received the donation today.

The money is being put to good use. Saint Vincent has been able to help families coming through the NICU for years. From $10 baby blankets to 30,000 life-saving machines, the Children's Miracle Network provides a lot of the necessities. Families of babies who were once in the NICU, and those currently there, are thankful. Many people who make the donations happen have their own personal reasons why they help.
