Sarah Brown Toys Are Made In America

The Erie Woman hopes to grow her business
Every business has to start somewhere, and in many cases a business starts small and grows
That’s the plan behind Sarah Brown Toys.
She operates out of her house but hopefully that will change as she grows her business.

Sara operates Sarah Brown Toys. She makes stuffed dolls and animals. She began making dolls for her children because she wanted to know what was in the materials they were playing with. She did not want anything made in China or overseas.

Sarah cuts each doll or animal pattern from recycled materials like old sweaters or shirts.
Each one of her products is stuffed with 97% recycled materials and made in America.

Sarah sells her toys at Glass Growers Gallery in Erie and online. She also has a display at the Erie Art Museum where she entered the Innovation Erie Design Competition. She was not a finalist but was a runner up.

Sarah is a finalist in the Martha Stewart American Made Competition. Voting will take place in September. You can go to “Martha Stewart American Made” a look for the design competition.
