It was a day of experiments for kids from all over the area today. To celebrate George Washington Carver Science Day, five neighborhood organizations brought dozens of kids to the JFK center today to test their science skills and learn about the fun aspects of science. Members of the American Chemical Society and students from Penn State Behrend helped host the event. The program had hands on activities and live chemical demonstrations for the kids. They also learned about famous minority scientists. Officials say this is a good way for kids to get involved in science at a young age.
