The Pennsylvania State Police may soon be calling Summit Township home.

For decades the Pa. State Police have been located in Lawrence Park.

Now they have plans to move to Summit Township.

The Pennsylvania State Police have agreed to purchase ten acres of land in Summit Township to build a new facility that will replace their Lawrence Park location.

The new location will be located next to the Erie County Public Safety building on Pagan Road.

State police officials confirm there is an agreement with the county to purchase that land.

It is unknown when they will break ground on the new facility.
