Summer Festivities Wrap Up

The summer events are also coming to an end and officials say this years summer celebrations were well attended.
August 26, 2014 - Whether it's 8 Great Tuesdays, Block Party or a ball game at Jerry Uht Park, officials say nothing stopped the Erie community from enjoying this summer.

Thousands of people have attended each 8 great Tuesdays, Block Party, and Buck Night at the Uht. This week wraps up the summer festivities..

Port Authority says the fifteenth season of 8 Great Tuesdays has had an overwhelming response, bringing 3,000 to 5,000 people to Liberty Park each week.

The Erie Downtown Partnership says this years nine block parties have helped the charities taking part each week.

Seawolves officials say the team has had overwhelming support from the community for the twentieth season.

Officials say the popularity of the events has really held strong. Each Block Party brings 3,000 to 5,000 people to downtown Erie and the Seawolves hit over 6,000 people for a game day attendance this season.
