Surprise Fire Drill for Conchranton Fire Department

A home that has not been inhabited for years was used in the drill.
Knowing what to do in a moment's notice is important for all fire fighters, even when the fire isn't a real emergency.

A surprise training exercise for the fire crews of Cochranton Fire Department was held Tuesday at 7 p.m. near the bowling alley in downtown Cochranton. A home that has not been inhabited for quite some time was a great tool for training some of the younger, less experienced firefighters.

Due to the close proximity to downtown, the fire was carefully controlled and maintained by the firemen. Another nearby residence is scheduled for a controlled burn drill this Saturday.
