Take Back the Site Vigil Honors Homicide Victim

Tuesday night's vigil honored 20-year-old Travon Green.
It was another “Take Back the Site” vigil, this time honoring homicide victim, Travon Donte Green.

20-year-old Green was fatally shot on July 11 in the 700 block of East 10th Street.

He suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his back and upper body. He died at UPMC Hamot.

Green’s family says they're offering a reward with anyone who will come forward with information about his death.

"It's hard to really say what you're feeling, because we really don't know what to feel. We don't know who did it or anything, I mean the streets know who did it, just no one's talking and anybody out there, please help us. You all know who we are, we'll appreciate any help,” said Green’s Uncle Ashley.

Green's death is still under investigation.

Today's vigil was organized by the Benedictine Sisters, the Sisters of Saint Joseph and the Sisters of Mercy.
