Tallship Peacemaker Returns To Erie

Tall ship enthusiasts a ship that graced our waters at the 2013 Tall Ships Festival has returned to Erie.

The Peacemaker, built in Southern Brazil and launched in 1989, is owned and operated by The Twelve Tribes,a Christian group based in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The ship is said to provide their youth with skills that include rigging, sail-making, sailing, navigation, marine mechanics and carpentry.

The Peacemaker will moor at Dobbins Landing. The ship will be open for ticketed public tours from Friday, August 29 through Monday, September 1, 2014 from 10am until 6pm daily. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 7 to 12 and age 6 and under are free.
