The Biggest Loser RunWalk Series Returns to Erie

The Biggest Loser RunWalk Series returns to Erie this summer and makes a three year commitment to the region.
January 29, 2014 - Running and walking enthusiasts, good news, The Biggest Loser RunWalk is coming back to Erie. At a press conference Wednesday morning, the Erie Sports Commission announced its return on June 21st and a new location. A spin-off of the long-running reality show, The Biggest Loser RunWalk series is for all fitness levels from first time runners to veterans offering a half marathon race, and 5k. Last year the event was held at Presque Isle, and over 2,200 people participated. This year the event is being moved to Penn State Behrend to accommodate more runners and those who want get involved. The Biggest Loser RunWalk series has made a three year commitment to Erie, so you can expect the race to return through 2016. Season 5 contestants Dan and Jackie Evans attended the kick off press conference to spread their story of inspiration.
