Victim Fatally Struck On West 26th Street Identified

The Erie County Coroner identifies the woman who was hit by a car and died over the weekend.
The Erie County Coroner identifies the woman who was hit by a car and died over the weekend. It happened in the 600 block of West 26th Street around 9:00 P.M Sunday night.

According to police a 66 year old man and 66 year old Laura Luce were walking across the street when they were hit by a westbound vehicle. Both were taken to UPMC Hamot for treatment of serious injuries.

Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook says Laura Luce died from blunt force trauma. Police say a 32 year old man will be charged with DUI and other traffic related charges in connection to the accident.

Erie police are still investigating
