The Erie Chamber Orchestra is welcoming two violinists, Adé Williams, a talented 16-year-old African American, and Rachel Barton Pine, one of the most respected violinists alive today, to
perform at various events across Erie this coming week.

On Thursday, Feb. 20 there will be three educational outreach shows at Harding Elementary School.

The shows will be at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. A total of 827 fourth-grade students, representing all 12 elementary schools in Erie, will be in attendance.

According to Steve Weiser, general manager of ECO, the children who go to this performance, “will not only get to see a young star in Adé Williams, but they’ll get to see someone their own age.”
On Friday, Feb. 21 at noon, there will be a live lobby performance by both Williams and Price at WQLN. After, the pair will visit Springhill Suites for another recital from 2-2:45 p.m.

Finally, the duo will conclude their tour of Erie with a concert at 7:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian
Church of the Covenant.
