Warren County 911 Center Gets a New Website

The website has launched and was celebrated today by county officials, first responders and politicians.
July 18, 2014 - There are 22 fire departments in Warren County and 19 are run by volunteers. Now communication will improve both internally and for the public.

The Warren County 911 Center is buzzing with talk of a new website. The website http://www.warrencofire.org has launched and was celebrated today by county officials, first responders and politicians.

It's a big deal for Warren County. It's a means of communication between fire departments and residents, especially important for volunteer firefighters who work other jobs.

Firefighters will have a log in to stay in touch with each other and keep up to date with other departments and they will communicate the public to keep them safe.

All of the fire departments have been consolidated to one web page but will keep their own identity. Just click on your town's department and you're connected with fire and EMS. There's even a live scanner you can listen to. And if you're a social media buff, click the link to get the latest information in your Facebook newsfeed.

Secretary Alan Walker believes this is a step in the right direction for a rural area dependent on communication to save lives.

Secretary Walker also believes this will be a model for a lot of other communities across the commonwealth.
