Jack and Grace Motzing bought the theatre from it's original owners in 1970. They operated the theatre as a "family friendly" theater offering that genre of movies and even a Christian cinema night one Sunday a month. But after 43 years they've decided it's time to move on. The asking price, $12,000. The Motzing’s purchased the theatre for $12,000. They say they simply wanted to clear their debt. The Cochranton Community Church has decided to buy the theatre. They plan to expand within the theatre to add a Christian coffee house called ROCK (Reaching Our Community for the Kingdom). There’s also a lot of work to be done to get the theatre up to code. Therefore the church will be holding a capital campaign to raise funds.
