Millcreek Supervisors Exploring Possible Sale of Water Authority

The township can begin fact finding to determine whether or not the sale of the authority to Erie Water Works would be beneficial to the township.
The Millcreek Supervisors have approved a motion to begin preliminary inquiries into the possible sale of the Millcreek Township Water Authority.
The approval means the township can begin fact finding to determine whether or not the sale of the authority to Erie Water Works would be beneficial to the township.
Supervisor Rick Figaski has tracked financing of the water authority since 2011, and he says they're losing big money year after year.
Figaski's fellow supervisors approved the motion, but included that the inquiries cannot start until March 1st.
Arbitration for the price of bulk water is set to begin next week, and supervisors don't want to compromise the process.
